Contact Information

Or on imposing unnecessary hurdles for the simplest task

University of British Columbia

This website does not contain my email address.

This has to do with my personal policy, which is to make it slightly difficult to reach me; slightly, because, in reality, it is trivial task to find a way to contact me. I just decided not to post it upfront.

I forgot where I initially got this idea, but this policy served me quite well over the years. Now, most of the emails I receive are newsletters that I actively subscribe to, or from real people reaching out to me through my own work.

This also makes it easier to sort out predatory journals in my inbox, such as MDPI. I have a lot to say about this, but I digress. In the end, the noise to signal ratio is too high when it comes to everything that has to do with the internet, and I try not to fall into the trap.
